11:14pm: Greatest website ev-R
okayokay okay

http://radio3.cbc.ca/

First I just started listening to the podcasts from itunes... I needed something to listen to in the morning and would work with the alarm clock program on my computer. I liked the music I was familiar with quite a few of the bands and there are no commercials which were all pluses.

After a while I got addicted and needed the feed straight from the radio instead of waiting for a weekly podcast update.
I signed up on the website so I could make song requests... but then BAM I found the playlist function.
Literally every single band in Canada is on the New Music Canada database and you can listen to whatever you want. Holden hold on for chrissake...!
I can get a taste of music that I would not normally know about, Crystal Castles? This website should be the evolution of radio.

11:03pm: Podcasts
Wow, I don't know why it took me so long to start listening to podcasts...
I just got a bunch from CBC and TVO today and I've been listening to them as I work. So much better than radio, so much better than TV.
I've also been able to get my Steve Paikin fix, something I've been missing for some time now, especially since I moved from TO. I used to not be able to get up without his wisdom of all things worldly to rouse me from my slumber. It was like he and Ralph Benmurgui were heralds of the day to come...
The sweet think about the CBC3 podscasts is when they play a band they have a link you can click on that transports you to more info. Wicked.

I also got a phone call today. The man on the other end was nice enough to offer me a full time Jay Oh Bee.
So I'm going to be a Graphic Designer at Mount Royal College. It's sweet because it's a 20 min walk from my door, it is right beside a farmers market that is open on fridays... Wicked benefits, and a membership to the rec centre.

I have a rough spot on my tooth from chipping it, I'm guessing years ago.
Then I imagined what it would be like to brush your teeth with a file. Then I got really creeped out.
Then it reminded me of this http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1797277

5:51pm: Vinyl figurines
I vow to never create loveable characters for the sole purpose of creating and marketing them as "urban vinyl figures". Nor will I ever create a vinyl figure of any of my pre-existing characters whether they be loveable or not.

Sincerely:

Jamie Tucker

This show is getting pretty funny.
I read the book and liked it, and I also like this show although the more episodes I've watched the more it deviates from the book, but what can you do?

2:18pm: To my mac friends
I just installed another Gig of ram into my computer. It's been great but I've noticed eventual slow down.
I've noticed that when using safari for extended periods of time, and leaving the program open for days, that because of all the website caching the program does, it really really eats memory like half a gig or more. All you have to do is close and restart the program and it dumps it back into the RAM. So I would advise closing the program when not in use to save system resources. Especially if you are using Photoshop or other resource dependant programs.
I'm sure all the browsers behave this way but I almost exclusively use Safari, so it is what I've noticed.

PC people, since the program quits when you close that last open window (which is really annoying) you probably won't have this caching problem, so you can rejoice in you smugness. But I would close firefox or IE, if you are using an adobe program... etc.

4:19pm: molee molee molee
I had a dream last night where I listed the reasons why I don't like moleskin books.
I woke up this morning and I found it funny. I secretly want one, or wanted one, because I think it will make everything I draw look instantly good. But I know if I ever had one I would never use it.
I remember when melinda had hers before it was cool and would always talk about her moleskin. I thought she was talking about something made from a skinned mole... would you be that cruel????

But now I see people uploading their drawings on the internets, that were done on a moleskin.... except they always leave the background the cream colour rather than adjust the contrast, or they scan it with a dark surface behind so you see the rounded corners, and they always keep the elastic on the page that was scanned. then just incase you weren't sure... they add: I drew this in my moleskin.
